Even though it’s difficult to go on romantic outings these days, you can still get creative for a spectacular date night in. These couple games will help you and your partner make your own fun, learn new facts about each other, and have a great time without ever needing to leave the house.
- The Newlywed Game
The Newlywed Game isn’t just for newlyweds—it’s a fun couples quiz to see how well you really know your partner. You can make the questions as serious or lighthearted as you like. All you have to do is both answer a question, such as “What’s your partner’s hidden talent?” You’ll each write down what you think the answer is. Then, compare answers to see how accurate you were.
These fun worksheets provide tons of questions and will help you keep score.
- The Fictional Couples Guessing Game
This game will test your knowledge of iconic, famous couples from movies and books.
Each card has a couple on it. Cut out the cards and shuffle them. Your partner will draw a card at random and, without looking at it, stick it to their forehead with the couple names facing outward. You then describe the couple without saying the name of the movie or book they’re from, and your partner must guess the couple as quickly as possible. Then, it’s your turn!
- Never Have I Ever
Never Have I Ever is a classic game for a group of friends or just between you and your date. Start by holding all of your fingers up. When it’s your turn, state something you’ve never done before. If your partner hasn’t done it either, they can triumphantly hold up the “I Have Never Done That” side of the paddle. If your partner has done it, they must show the “I Have Done That” side, and put one finger down. The first person to put all of their fingers down loses.
You can also turn this into a drinking game by having each person take a drink instead of putting their fingers down.
To make the paddles, simply cut out the two printables below and glue them to opposite sides of a popsicle stick or straw.
